“Design creates stories, and stories create memorable experiences, and great experiences have this innate ability to change the way in which we view our world.” — Christian Saylor
Though my background is in architecture, I’ve realized that I'm fascinated in all forms of design centered around user experiences. I love how physical environments, digital tools, or virtual worlds have the ability impact someone’s perception and experience. Currently I'm focused on acquiring more experience creating engaging digital and physical spaces that positively impact everyday people. I'd love to be a part any team that actively creates good in the world with a specific focus on technological experimentation to create innovative solutions.
After the summer of 2019, I will have graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelors
of Architecture and minors in Human-Computer
Interaction, Media Design, and Physical Computing.
As far as personal interests in HCI, I'm really interested in the effects of social computing, how technology impacts (hopefully for the better) people's lives, and how design can positively influence human experience with technology. Anything that works towards a social good (such as aiding people with disabilities and influencing people's perceptions) gets me excited. I'm in the process of learning how I personally can positively impact the world - physical or digital - around me.
In my free time I enjoy burrowing myself into a corner with a good book, traveling, exploring different cultures, cooking, watching unhealthy amounts of educational Youtube videos, and fueling my passion for electronic dance music.
